  • Interview 5 Scrum Masters from a group

With the help of the two methods, the role, challenges and opportunities of the role of the Scrum Master should be compared between theory and practice.

Niche sites on the Internet – the digitization of business models (Bachelor thesis – finished)

“It has never been so easy to start up!” is not only a motto in the Silicon Valley but also applies to private individuals. This can be seen in the high number of almost 1 million part-time start-ups. A large part takes place online in the form of web shops and internet-based models such as blog or affiliate marketing. The structure of these niche sites is very simple, but monetization seems to be a problem. There are well-known methods such as: Affiliate Marketing and Performance Marketing.

Goal setting

A big factor right now is the number of visitors, which has a significant impact on sales. In this bachelor thesis, the question should therefore be answered:
How is the relationship between the number of visitors and the turnover of a niche site differentiated according to the two income methods.

methodology

With the help of a literature analysis, the 2 methods are to be developed and then the sales and visitor numbers of niche sites are worked out in a survey.

Bimodal IT – connection of traditional and agile IT – master’s thesis (finished)

Question

Those who master bimodal IT are better off in digital business (Gartner 2016).
Gartner also states that bimodal IT organizations meet the requirements of digital business models in terms of flexibility, time-to-market and innovation. John Kotter also put forward the thesis: “Organizational structures are not suitable for enabling fast and agile action”. According to current literature, organizations therefore need a dual operating system: stability and agility. Hierarchies and networks according to Kotter. Gartner, on the other hand, speaks of a two-speed IT organization as the solution to this scenario.
However, the current implementation of this bi-modal or two-speed IT is still highly controversial and companies are faced with the question of what the framework conditions for such a model could look like.

Goal setting

The aim of this work is to define the framework conditions for such a bimodal IT with the help of literature. This framework is then evaluated with the help of managers and a fictitious case study with a concrete implementation of the framework is designed on the basis of literature and interviews.
